Arinzé Kene’s MISTY ‘The most important cultural experience in British theatre right now’ (BBC) finishes its extended run at London’s Trafalgar Studios on 17 November. Having played to over 10K people and introduced an inclusive new audience to the West End, Kene’s blend of theatre, gig and performance poetry has delivered a pulsating vision of modern London.

Continuing a series of post-show Q&A discussions which have included Daniel Kaluuya, Anthony Welsh and Akala, Island Records will present a pre-show talk and after-show discussion with Michael ‘Buck’ Maris and Femi Oyniran on 25 October. On 30 October actor Ashley Walters (So Solid Crew, Bullet Proof, Get Rich or Die Tryin) and on 12 November poet and performer Inua Ellams (Barbershop Chronicles, An Evening with an Immigrant, Black T-shirt Collection) will lead post-show Q&As.

Having understudied Arinzé Kene throughout the West End run, actress Kibong Tanji will play the lead role in a special matinee performance on Thursday 8 November at 2.30pm. Kibong, who left Central School of Speech and Drama in the summer was the winner of the Lionel Bart award and Clare Rich Bursary 2017.
