From 12 September, audiences worldwide can stream the critically acclaimed production of VANYA starring Andrew Scott (All of us Strangers, Fleabag) on National Theatre at Home, the pioneering theatre streaming platform by the National Theatre. The production won the Olivier award for Best Revival, with Scott winning the Critics’ Circle Award for his performance.
Scott brings to life multiple characters in this ‘deeply emotional’ (***** Time Out) and radical new version of Chekhov’s masterpiece Uncle Vanya, adapted by Simon Stephens (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time) and directed by Sam Yates.

From September, audiences can watch the ‘mesmerising’ (**** Telegraph) play from the comfort of home on National Theatre at Home, available at ntathome.com. The platform launched in 2020 after the National Theatre hosted weekly free streams of archive productions during the summer lockdown when theatres around the world were closed, garnering over 15 million views in 173 countries. Audiences can exclusively access over 80 productions with new titles added every month with a monthly subscription for £9.99 or an annual subscription for £99.99.
