Due to a slipped disc Diana Damrau has had to withdraw from singing the role of Marguerite on 11, 15, 18, 25 and 30 April. Russian soprano Irina Lungu, who is scheduled to sing Marguerite on 3 and 6 May, will now sing the role at all performances.

Irina Lungu made her Royal Opera debut in 2014 as Musetta (La bohème). She has sung Violetta Valéry (La traviata) for companies including Deutsche Oper Berlin, Paris Opéra, Hamburg State Opera, La Scala, Milan, Zurich Opera and Vienna State Opera. Other notable performances include Gilda (Rigoletto) and Musetta for the Metropolitan Opera, New York, Gilda for Paris Opéra, the title role of Maria Stuarda, Marguerite, Adina (L’elisir d’amore) and Nannetta (Falstaff) for La Scala, Milan, Elettra (Idomeneo), Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) and Norina (Don Pasquale) for Vienna State Opera, Marguerite for Dutch National Opera and Teatro Real, Madrid, and Juliette (Roméo et Juliette) and Donna Anna for Arena di Verona.

The rest of the cast remains unchanged.
